RV

On the river bed (Río Vélez) between Almayate and Vélez-Málaga.

From the Coast: From the N340 take the road opposite the road to the Playa Nudista, ie. turn left if you’re coming from the West and turn right if you’re coming from the East. Follow this road past El Capitán until you come to a dirt road on your right just before the motorway bridge (AH3 sign). Trundle along this road until you encounter the RV on the river bed, towards the right.

From the Hills: Coming into Vélez-Málaga on the A356 come off at the junction just past Viveros Canarias at km47, then turn right at the top of the ramp (signposted Río Vélez). Follow this road down into the river bed, where you will find the RV towards the left.

On Inn:

For the On Inn you are invited to our house in Almayate (Ermita Alta G2). This is in the small urbanización on the right of the main road through Almayate opposite the dusty car park between the Colegio and the Restaurante Sierrezuela. It’s best to park in said dusty car park and wander over. Our house is in the row perpendicular to the dead end road.We will prepare a Córdobes style “Perol” (a rice dish a bit like a jambalaya) for sharing. Apologies to the Veggies amongst you but this dish will contain meat, so you may wish to bring an alternative for yourselves.Otherwise, if you want to bring a contribution to the meal then please bring something in the starter or dessert department.
AND, OF COURSE, YOU’LL NEED TO BRING YOUR OWN BEVERAGES.
We’ll be able to collect food and drink at the RV at the start and get it all back to our house for cool storage.
IMPORTANT: Please let us know asap, but by Thursday 4th August at the latest, if you’ll be coming to the On Inn and say what food you’ll be bringing. We need numbers to help us determine how much stuff to buy for the Perol.

On-on!
